Adrian Prabava made his international breakthrough in 2005, where he was one of two finalists at the 49th International Competition for Young Conductors in Besançon.
He then became the assistant conductor of Kurt Masur at the Orchestre National de France in Paris from 2006 to 2008 and subsequently became the first beneficiary of the Bernard Haitink Fund for Young Talent in 2007.
In this position he worked closely with Bernard Haitink as assistant conductor at the Het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam until 2010.
